Rotary Club of Biloxi Recognized as Club of the Year

The Rotary Club of Biloxi was recognized with two awards at the Rotary District 6840 Conference held in Bay St. Louis earlier this month.  The club received a Presidential Citation for its various community service projects (both locally and internationally), its membership growth and its contributions to the Rotary International Foundation, among other things.

The club also received one of the top awards granted at the District Conference.  District Governor,
Greg Lier presented to club president, Bruce Marie the Large Rotary Club of the Year Award.  This is an honor that is bestowed upon only three clubs each year.  Rotary District 6840 consists of 55 clubs in southeastern Louisiana and south Mississippi.

The Rotary Club of Biloxi, chartered on Aug. 5, 1921, meets every Tuesday at noon at Mary Mahoney’s Old French House Restaurant.
