Rotary
Club of Biloxi
Recognizes Top Police and Fire Personnel
The Rotary Club of Biloxi recently recognized two of Biloxi’s top public
safety personnel. Retiring Police Chief Bruce
Dunagan and Firefighter II Kenneth Matlock were both
recognized for their outstanding contributions to their departments and to
their city.
Chief Dunagan was honored for his 37 years of outstanding
service to the City of Biloxi as a member of
the Biloxi Police Department.
Firefighter Matlock, in his first year with the Biloxi Fire Department,
was recognized for his leadership in an emergency response to an accident
victim’s life-threatening injuries.
This annual recognition program was started in 2007 by the Rotary Club of
Biloxi to honor Biloxi police officers
and firefighters who go above and beyond the call of duty in service to their
city.
The Rotary Club of Biloxi, chartered on Aug.
5, 1921, meets every Tuesday at noon at Mary Mahoney’s
Old French House Restaurant.
